- Worked under the supervision of Enrico Biancardi, Massimo Saccomani, and Giovanni Cacco on molecular and morphophysiolological characterization of wild species of the genus Beta.
- Visiting researcher at Michigan State University (USA) in 2003 and 2005-2006.
